HARD CHROME PLATING

Established in 1965, we are the original and longest running hard chrome plating facility in Kwa-Zulu Natal, South Africa. We handle a wide range of hard chrome plating work from small parts and shafts to large print rollers and hydraulic rams. Our chromic acid solutions are all analysed and treated by an independent company to insure constant quality plating.



CYLINDRICAL GRINDING

We have five cylindrical Grinders on our shop floor ready to handle all your grinding requirements.



MANUFACTURE AND REPAIRS OF HYDRAULIC RAMS & CYLINDERS

Using the correct grade of steel and procedures during manufacturing our "In-House" hard chroming and best quality seals. Makes our hydraulic cylinders hard wearing, Reliable and competitively priced! Our remanufactured and repaired cylinders are used on client's machines all over South Africa as well as neighbouring countries with a good reputation for withstanding the tough African conditions.



CNC TURNNG

In 1997 we  expanded and opened a CNC Machine shop on the same premises and under the Hardchrome umbrella named MMP Engineering ( Mass Machined Parts ) specializing in CNC turning. With nearly 20 years' experience! We handle large quantity production jobs, down to one off precision turning off a complicated component.



MILLING

General Milling, Boring and Keyway cutting.



CONTINUOUS MIG WELDING

With our continuous MIG (Metal Inert Gas) welding facility we can repair badly worn shafts, pins, bearing and seal journals etc. Our process out performs metal spray due to superior metal to metal bonding and will not De-laminate under heavy loads.



GENERAL ENGINEERING

We have a fully equipped machine shop for all your general engineering requirements.



HONING

We have our own Honing facility and have capacity for a wide range and size of cylinders.



STRAIGHTENING OF SHAFTS AND RAMS

A useful tool especially in breakdown situations where
Remanufacture is not an option for the customer.

HYDRAULIC TORQUE MULTIPLIER

Capable of removing the most stubborn piston nuts.
